Libya’s top oil official said that the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is unlikely to change its output at its next meeting, to be held later this month in Angola.

According to Shokri Ghanem, the group will keep production at current levels due to ‘volatility’ in the oil market.

“There is volatility in the markets and because of this we don’t think we are going to do anything in our meeting,” Ghanem told reporters at a gas exporting conference in Doha.
