Eni Starts Oil Production at Oyo

Italy’s Eni and Nigeria’s Allied Energy have commenced oil production at the Nigeria-based Oyo oil field in the Niger Delta, deep offshore.

The Oyo field is expected to initially generate 25,000 bopd from two subsea wells in water depths of 400m, linked to the Armada Perdana FPSO facility.

The FPSO has a maximum storage capacity of 1 million barrels of crude oil and can treat 40,000 barrels of liquids per day, with gas treatment and re-injection facilities. A third well will re-inject associated gas into the Oyo field to maximise oil recovery and avoid flaring.

First oil production at the Oyo field was accomplished less than 24 months from its sanctioning.
