Petrofac has completed the acquisition of a UK-based services company Scotvalve Services for £3m ($4.88m).

Scotvalve will be part of the Offshore Engineering & Operations business that has mechanical workshop facilities in the UAE and a mechanical services joint venture with Zamil Group Holding in Saudi Arabia.

The acquisition is expected to strengthen Petrofac’s mechanical services by enabling it to supply repair and maintenance services over a larger geographic base.

Scotvalve offers repairs and servicing of oilfield pressure control machinery from its Aberdeen-based mechanical workshop, and services to the oil and gas sectors in North Africa and the Middle East.
