Crude prices fell below $77 a barrel today, predominantly dragged down by a stronger dollar.

For March delivery, US crude lost 37¢ to $76.96 a barrel at 0612 GMT, according to Reuters. For April delivery, London Brent crude fell 36¢ to $75.91 a barrel.

The dollar index increased about 0.2% against other currencies to near seven-month highs, making oil and other commodities more expensive for holders of other currencies, reports Reuters.
