Technip has won a flexible pipe supply contract with China National Offshore Oil Corporation for the Lufeng oilfields in the China Sea.

Technip’s operating centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, will carry out the deal that includes the engineering and supply of a 6in riser, a mid-water arch and a 6in flowline for the 13-1 or 13-2 oilfields.

Delivery is planned for February 2011.

The 20ha site, including a dedicated 130m-long quay and a 300t crane, is being developed as a one-stop integrated hub for manufacturing flexible pipes and umbilicals, fabrication of auxiliary equipment and mobilisation of Technip’s subsea assets.
