Aker Solutions has won a contract from Petrobras to supply subsea trees to the Lara and Guará fields, located in the pre-salt area of the Santos basin, offshore Brazil.

Under the $300m contract, work includes engineering, manufacturing and delivery of 40 vertical subsea trees for 2,500m water depth, subsea control systems and 17 complete tool sets.

Delivery of the first subsea tree is scheduled for the end of 2011 and will take place over the next four years.

The Guará field will receive 14 trees while the Lara field will receive 26 trees.

Petrobras has a 45% interest in the Guará field and 65% in the Lara field.
