BP‘s outgoing and newly appointed chief executives are expected to meet Russia’s top energy official this week.

The company’s newly appointed chief executive Bob Dudley and outgoing CEO Tony Hayward will meet Igor Sechin.

The executives will also meet shareholders in its Russian joint venture TNK-BP and top government officials, reports Reuters.

Russia accounts for a quarter of BP’s global oil output and is home to many energy companies that can participate in BP’s $30 billion asset sale.
