Crude oil prices are steady over $82 as investors watch for clues to the pace of economic and energy demand recovery.

US September crude added 22¢ to $82.23 a barrel, while ICE Brent added 9¢ reaching $81.70, according to Reuters.

A Reuters survey showed US nonfarm payrolls likely fell by 65,000 in July.

The US Energy Information Administration on 4 August said the country’s gasoline stocks had risen for a sixth consecutive week, while distillate fuel supplies were up for a tenth consecutive week.
