Technip has won a contract from Statoil ASA to develop the Snorre field in the Norwegian North Sea.

The $30m contract includes the welding and installation of a 9km-long rigid steel flowline to connect the Snorre A and B platforms, and the installation and tie-in of the flexible risers to connect the flowline to the platforms.

Technip said the work will be executed in Oslo and Orkanger, Norway, from mid-2011.
