Oil prices fell almost 1% today to trade below $73 a barrel.

For October delivery US crude fell 70¢ to stand at $72.40 a barrel at 06.42 GMT, while London Brent crude dropped 57¢ to $73.05 a barrel, reports Reuters.

Crude inventories are expected to rise by 800,000 barrels, while stockpiles gain one million barrels and petrol inventories fall by 200,000 barrels.
