Aker Solutions, through its subsidiary Aker Process Systems Asia Pacific, has won two subsea contracts totalling $50m from Petronas Carigali.

The first contract involves the supply of subsea production system and services for the Kanowit field, while the second contract includes the delivery of 5,600m of subsea umbilicals that tie back the Kanowit subsea wells to the Kumang Cluster, offshore Bintulu, Sarawak, Malaysia.

Under the contract Aker will complete the engineering and delivery of a subsea production system consisting of two subsea trees, wellheads, a subsea control system, a manifold with a high-integrity pressure protection system, a pipeline-end manifold and all tie-in equipment.

The scope of work under the second contract involves project management, engineering, procurement and the manufacturing of subsea steel tube umbilical and auxiliary equipment.

Aker said the delivery of the contract will be completed by the second quarter of 2011.
