Yemen plans to offer 15 offshore blocks to international oil companies next month during an oil and gas-promoting conference, said the country’s Oil and Minerals Minister Ameer Aidarous.

The Yemeni Oil and Minerals Ministry said exploration activities in its oil sectors showed positive indications about the availability of oil and gas in the south and east of the country.

The recent discoveries of large quantities of gas are located in the south-east provinces of Hadramout and Shabwa and in the northeast province of Marib, reports Xinhuaa News.
