Foster Wheeler has won a pre-front-end engineering design contract and a front-end engineering design contract from Cardon IV for new production facilities at the Perla field, located in the Gulf of Venezuela.

The scope of work includes the development of offshore structures, trees, controls, offshore processing, subsea flowlines, export pipelines, shore approach and utilities from the wellheads to an onshore gas plant.

Venezuela’s state-run oil company PDVSA has 35% back-in rights to the Perla natural gas field, which is operated by Cardon IV, a joint venture of Eni and Repsol.
