Aker Solutions has secured a Nkr215m ($37m) contract to carry out basic engineering services for the development of Total’s Hild field in the Norwegian North Sea.

Hild, an oil and gas field, lies about 160km offshore Norway and 42km west of the Oseberg field.

The scope of work involves engineering for several building blocks, including topsides, jacket, a floating storage and offloading unit, turret and mooring, subsea umbilicals, risers, pipelines, flowlines, transportation and installation.

The work will be completed in 2012.

TOTAL E&P Norge is the joint operator of the Hild field with a 49% stake, Statoil holds 21% and Petoro owns 30%.
