Brent crude rose by 26 cents to $97.39 a barrel ahead of the outcome of an OPEC meeting and the Greek elections.
Participants at the meeting, to be held today in Austria, are looking out for any change in stance in the group’s output policy.
Analysts are also awaiting clarity on whether Greece will stay in the eurozone, reported Reuters.
US crude also rose 20 cents to $82.82 as Energy Information Administration data revealed a drop in domestic crude stockpiles to 191,000 barrels last week.
