Offshore rope manufacturer Lankhorst Ropes has secured a contract from Eni Norge to supply polyester rope mooring lines for the Goliat floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel, offshore Norway.

The Goliat FPSO is located 85km north-west of Hammerfest in production licence areas 229 and 229B in the Barents Sea.

The cylindrical-shaped Goliat FPSO will be moored with 14 polyester mooring lines at a water depth of 400m.

Delivery of the mooring rope and buoyancy elements from Lankhorst is scheduled for early 2013.
