Technip has received a contract from the Zakum Development Company (ZADCO) for the Upper Zakum 750K offshore project in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
In a consortium with the National Petroleum Construction Company, Technip will provide engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning and start-up services for the project, located 84km offshore of Abu Dhabi.
The field is divided into four production artificial islands, namely Central, North, South, and West, whith processing facilities at the Central Complex.
The company will deliver 240km of subsea pipelines ranging from 6" to 42", 128kms of subsea composite and fibre-optic cables; 30,000 tons of offshore structures including jackets, riser platforms, flare towers and bridges and 3,000 tons of islands modules and bridges.
Technip will also undertake construction of initial production facilities for temporary well hook ups, to serve initial production distributed among the North, South and Central islands.
The company’s operating centre in Abu Dhabi will execute the overall engineering services contract and participate in delivering the procurement, on-island works, cable installation and initial production services part of the contract.
