Sonat Exploration recorded an increase of 0.53% in total oil and gas production to 399.16 boe/d in April 2020 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.

The oil and gas production of Sonat Exploration grew 2.5% in April 2020 from 389.41 boe/d in April 2019.

On a YTD basis, the company’s total oil and gas production decreased by 7.03% from the same period in 2019.

The company’s oil production declined 37.27% to 20.48 bd in April 2020 from the previous month, while gas production up by 0.98% to 2.07 mmcf/d. On a YTD basis, oil production increased by 16.6% in 2020 when compared with the same period in 2019, while gas production declined by 8.72%. Out of the total oil and gas production in April 2020, oil production held a 5.13% share, while gas production held an 89.41% share.


Looking at the states where Sonat Exploration recorded the highest oil and gas production in April 2020, Texas figured at the top, accounting for a 2.14% share. The company produced 390.78 boe/d in the state in April 2020, an increase of 1.21% from the previous month.

On a YTD basis, the company produced 1,597.37 boe/d in Texas in 2020, recording a decrease of 9.52% from the same period in 2019.



Sonat Exploration witnessed the highest oil and gas production in Gregg county in April 2020. Out of all the counties, Gregg county held a share of 36.1% for the firm. The company produced 144.09 boe/d in Gregg county in April 2020, an increase of 6.43% in production when compared with the previous month.

On a YTD basis, the county produced 519.69 boe/d for the company in 2020, a 25.11% increase from the same period in 2019.
