Uinta Shale witnessed a decrease of 11.94% in total oil and gas production to 7,77,358.79 boe/d in April 2020 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.
The oil and gas production in Uinta declined 35.83% in April 2020 from 12,11,417.85 boe/d in April 2019. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in the play decreased by 27.92% from the same period in 2019.
In Uinta, oil production declined 14.09% in April 2020 as compared with the previous month, while gas production decreased by 11.68% to 4,039.09 mmcf/d.
On a YTD basis, oil production in the play decreased by 9.29% in 2020 when compared with the same period in 2019, while gas production declined by 29.61%. Out of the total oil and gas production in April 2020, oil held a 10.42% share, while gas had an 89.58% share.
In Uinta, Kinder Morgan emerged as the largest oil and gas producer, recording a total oil and gas production at 2,86,463.07 boe/d in April 2020, a decrease of 21.15% from the previous month. The company held a 0.02% share in oil production and 41.13% share in gas production in April 2020.
On a YTD basis, the company registered a 45.81% decrease in total oil and gas production from the same period in 2019.
Compared with other counties within Uinta Shale, Montezuma county recorded the highest oil and gas production, holding a 33.37% share in April 2020. The county witnessed a 22.18% decrease in production to 2,59,406.51 boe/d in April 2020 when compared with the previous month.
On a YTD basis, it registered a decline of 46.3% in total production from the same period in 2019.
