IT jobs claimed a 6.01% share in the company’s total hiring activity in January 2022, and recorded a 0.33% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops BASF IT hiring in January 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by BASF, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 71.15% in January 2022, and a 9.76% drop over December 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 17.31% in January 2022, and registered a decline of 30.77%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 5.77% in January 2022, a 200% rise from December 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at BASF

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in January 2022 with a 53.85% share, which marked a 24.32% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 34.62%, registering an 80% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 7.69% share and a 42.86% drop over December 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 1.92% and a month-on-month decline of 75%. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.92%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.

Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 53.85% share in January 2022, a 24.32% decline over December 2022. Malaysia featured next with a 23.08% share, up 100% over the previous month. China recorded an 11.54% share, an increase of 100% compared with December 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead BASF IT hiring activity in January 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.23%, down by 14.29% from December 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.08% share, a growth of 71.43% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.69% share, down 55.56% over December 2022.
