In terms of the number of contracts in Africa, the upstream segment contributed the most with 13 contracts in March 2022, followed by downstream and midstream segments with two contracts each.

In March 2022, Egypt, Nigeria and South Africa led the activity with two contracts and a 15% share each of the upstream oil and gas contracts in Africa. It saw an increase of 100% over the previous month’s total of one contract and a flat growth when compared with the last 12 month-average of two contracts in Egypt.
