By GlobalDataUnder the agreement, Gazprom Neft and Halliburton will collaborate in adapting technologies for drilling multilateral wells under the conditions of the Novoportovskoye and East Messoyakhskoye fields in the north of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
Furthermore, the companies will engage in developing technologies for repeated multi-stage fracturing in horizontal wells in the Noyabrsk district of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
In addition to the task of maintaining production levels at mature fields, Gazprom Neft and Halliburton intend to bring back horizontal wells to productivity.
Gazprom Neft management board CEO and chairman Alexander Dyukov said: “Implementing joint projects with Halliburton has already provided us with technological solutions to the most urgent issues on the production agenda.
“I am confident that strengthening our relationships with one of the leaders of the global oilfield services market will give new impetus to innovative development within the company and will increase the efficiency of our projects in exploration and production.”
Gazprom is looking to leverage the partnership to optimise its field development system in the Khanty-Mansiysk and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrugs, to allow more than 26 million tonnes of oil to be brought into production.
The signing of the agreement also provides for the training of employees over the long term, as well as allowing Gazprom Neft to work directly with Halliburton’s Technology Centres.
Nabors has individually agreed to provide drilling solutions and other oilfield services to Gazprom, in addition to evaluating opportunities for improving the operational efficiency and CAPEX of existing onshore drilling rigs.
The deal with IBM involves further collaboration in the development of computer technologies for hydrocarbon production and the management of upstream assets.
The companies will develop new IT tools and software aimed at optimising geological prospecting processes, project management, and field development and operation.
