
Kuwait Petroleum’s (KPC) subsidiary Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has selected Texas-based Fluor to provide comprehensive consulting services in support of its capital expenditure programme for Kuwait.

Said to be worth $410m, the five-year contract follows ten years of Fluor support to KOC and will be booked in Fluor’s fourth quarter.
According to Fluor, the services pertaining to new facilities construction and upgrading of existing facilities are broad based. As part of the contract, the company will provide services including project management, coordination, planning, front-end design, engineering, contracting, procurement, project controls, and construction management, and will also train KOC project staff.
Services will be performed at KOC’s headquarters located in Ahmadi, Kuwait, and front-end design packages will be executed in the Farnborough, UK, office of Fluor.

Fluor’s latest agreement is expected to bolster the partnership between both companies.
KPC, the government-owned entity responsible for Kuwait’s hydrocarbon interests worldwide, helps to supply vital oil and gas resources through the exploration, production, refining, transporting and marketing of crude oil and products in Kuwait and internationally.
