Ardan Risk & Support Services, a subsidiary of Africa Oilfield Logistics has signed a two-year contract with an unnamed African oil company to build well sites and associated infrastructure for its oil and gas exploration programme in the Turkana region of Northern Kenya.

The deal will help Ardan in its strategy to expand its business in the sub-Saharan Africa oil and gas industry.

Ardan provides services to different sectors, including oil and gas, mining, construction, engineering, industrial, NGO, and governmental in the African continent.

Africa Oilfield Logistics director, Andrew Groves, said the company is establishing itself as ‘the premier provider of turn-key solutions’ to international companies operating in East Africa’s oil and gas exploration industry.

"This contract, which focusses on the building of the infrastructure necessary to support growing exploration activities in Kenya, marks a further step in Ardan’s expansion plan, as it continues to rapidly increase its market penetration and revenues, which have risen year-on-year since its foundation," Groves added.

Ardan has six established divisions, which include Ardan Engineering and Infrastructure Development that provides services for well site, road and airstrip construction, as well as water treatment installation.

Ardan Facilities Management provides turnkey lodging solutions to catering services, communication installation and environmental waste management, while Ardan Procurement & Logistics offers services range from procurement and warehousing to general logistical supply solutions.

Arden Risk Management offers services such as full risk assessment programmes, and tailored security solutions and protocols.
