The agreement will allow 210MMcf/d of new services, in addition to the renewal of current contracts, allowing Spectra to continue to provide natural gas gathering and processing to Progress Energy’s incremental production in the area.
The gathering and processing services will be provided to Progress Energy at Spectra Energy’s Highway, Jedney and McMahon facilities, and through the reactivation of the Aitken Creek Gas Plant.
The Montney play is an unconventional natural gas resource with an estimated 450Tcf of original gas.
