A testing unit is now on-site and the well will be re-entered to prepare for perforation and testing of a potential gas sand of between 2,920ft and 2,970ft.
Testing is expected to begin early to mid next week.
Solimar energy executive director John Begg said the main objective was to determine the southerly extent of the gas accumulation and to assess the presence of more productive gas sand.
