Burleson Energy has drilled the Heintschel #2 well in the Heintschel field, Texas, US, to a total depth of 11,900ft (3,627m).
Gas shows were recorded in the primary reservoir section of Heintschel #2 and the main shows appear to correlate with gas condensate-charged reservoir sands in the Heintschel #1 discovery well, which lies 1,200ft to the north-east.

Electric logging of the well has been completed and the significance of the shows in Heintschel #2 will be determined after electric logs have been completely interpreted.
Heintschel #2 is the third well to be drilled on the broader Heintschel structure.
