Elliott Group will supply compressor trains for the Habshan 5 process plant, part of Abu Dhabi Gas Industries’ integrated gas development project in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The contract for 16 compressors was awarded by JGC Corporation and its venture partner Tecnimont, the engineering procurement contractors for the new processing plant, according to Energy Global.

Elliott will provide compressor trains along with fixed speed and variable speed motor drives, including steam turbine drives for seven different services.
The Habshan 5 project will meet growing demand for gas resources within the UAE and includes a gas processing plant, a sulphur recovery unit and a natural gas liquids recovery unit.
Delivery is scheduled for late 2012.
