Dominion Petroleum chief executive Andrew Cochran said that if the well is encouraging in terms of geology it will acquire additional seismic testing before the year end to support a much expanded exploration and appraisal drilling programme, which will begin early next year.
Subsequent appraisal work will include an environmental and social impact assessment and more drilling in 2011.
