Both the refinery projects include 25,000bpd catalytic distillation trains, associated amine regeneration units, flare and all ancillary facilities.
The project is a part of Pemex’s clean fuels programme, which will develop and modernise the refineries to increase Mexico’s production of ultra low-sulphur petrol to meet environmental standards.
ICA Fluor, a joint venture between Empresas ICA and Fluor, will complete the project in mid-2013.
