John Crane Asset Management Solutions has secured a contract in the US to supply condition-based maintenance (CBM) services to an undisclosed oil refinery located in Texas.
To deliver the services mandated under the contract, the company will deploy personnel from its operational offices in Aberdeen and Pasadena, Texas, to the refinery.

John Crane Asset Management Solutions managing director John Morrison said: “This is a significant win for the company, expanding our business in the US.

The company is engaged in developing a maintenance strategy to ensure cost-effective equipment operation and increased performance, based on the plant’s requirements.
Under the contract, John Crane will inspect the vibration and lubrication of equipment, assess conditions and data and make recommendations.

By GlobalDataAdditionally, the scope of work includes generating alerts to allow for planning and scheduling repair work.
The alerts will also enable offering recommendations for maintenance or repair of equipment and increasing frequency inspections.
John Crane is also required to impart training to workers at the refinery in areas such as leadership, data collection, project liaison, maintenance strategies and performance trending.
The latest contract comes after the company secured a contract in August last year to supply Maersk Oil with data services to support the planned maintenance strategy at a new development in the UK North Sea.
