India-based Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Hydrocarbon has bagged a contract worth INR7bn ($113.7m) off the coast of India from BG Exploration and Production India (BGEPIL).

L&T is said to have won the contract against international competitive bidding.
The new offshore contract includes total engineering procurement construction and installation of one wellhead platform and subsea pipe laying (30km).
The subsea pipe spreads over the Panna-Mukta fields.
According to L&T, the project is part of the joint venture’s strategy to bolster production in a bid to meet rising energy demands of the country.

By GlobalDataAs part of the contract, piggy back pipeline will be installed on the in-field pipeline from an existing PPA host complex, in addition to conventional wellhead facilities.
BG operates the Panna-Mukta field on behalf of joint venture partners Reliance Industries (RIL) and state-run Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).
The project is expected to complete by March 2015.
L&T Hydrocarbon provides complete design-to-build engineering, as well as construction solutions for the oil and gas sector.
The company’s in-house expertise, experience and collaborations with various strategic business partners will allow it to deliver end-to-end solutions for every phase of a project.
The project phase ranges from front-end design engineering through fabrication, project management, procurement, construction and installation to commissioning.
