The company is currently carrying out earthworks, pad preparation and lease access activities, which represent the first phase of site execution ahead of drilling.

These activities are set to continue over the coming weeks, with drilling due to commence once site preparation and rig mobilisation have been completed according to Brookside Energy’s planned timeline.

The Sabres and Whalers wells will be drilled from the same two-well pad and are targeting the Sycamore and Woodford formations within the SWISH AOI.

This development is consistent with Brookside Energy’s broader strategy of repeatable, multi-well projects across its core acreage in the region.

The ongoing programme forms part of the company’s wider efforts within the SWISH play, an area it describes as one of North America’s most productive hydrocarbon regions.

Brookside Energy operates in the Anadarko Basin, focusing on oil and gas production with a concentrated position of around 5,000 net acres in the SWISH play.

The company has established a growing production base, a reserve inventory and a pipeline of future drilling projects that support its development plans.

Brookside Energy managing director and CEO David Prentice said: “We are back on the ground in the SWISH AOI with operations under way on our next pad. This has us on track to begin drilling in May.

“Results across our SWISH AOI have been consistent and we remain focused on executing this next phase of the programme efficiently.”
