Ophir Equatorial Guinea (Block R) has awarded the upstream construction contract for the deepwater Fortuna FLNG Project in West Africa to Subsea Integration Alliance.
Subsea Integration Alliance is a partnership between Subsea 7 and OneSubsea, a Schlumberger company.
The contract involves engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) for the subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines and associated subsea production systems.
Upon completion of the contract, the project is expected to deliver 440 million standard cubic feet per day of gas through infrastructure comprising four wells, with three in the Fortuna field and one in the underlying Viscata field.
The four wells are located at an average depth of water depth of 1,790m.
Ophir is expected to take final investment decision on the Fortuna FLNG Project by the end of this year, while the first gas is scheduled for 2020.
