Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 15.24% share in August 2021, recording an increase of 2.54% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 34.55% in August 2021, registering a 17.39% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 29.09% share, an increase of 77.78% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 20%, registering an 8.33% decline from July 2021.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 10.91%, up 50% over the previous month.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Hungary’s oil & gas industry during August 2021 over July 2021.

Exxon Mobil posted 44 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a rise of 12.82% over the previous month, followed by MOL Hungarian Oil and Gas with 5 jobs and a 66.67% growth. BP with 4 IT jobs and Albemarle with 2 jobs, recorded a 55.56% decline and a flat growth.

Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.91%, up by 2.63% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with an 18.18% share, registered an increase of 11.11% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 10.91% share, up 20% over July 2021.
