The largest producers of natural gas in Ireland are Nephin Energy, Equinor and Vermilion Energy. Nephin Energy was the largest producer of natural gas in 2022 with output down by 8% on 2021.

Equinor was the second-largest producer, with output down by 8%, and Vermilion Energy was third with a decrease of 8% on the previous year.

There are one natural gas producing fields in Ireland, all located onshore. The North Atlantic Ocean has the majority of the natural gas fields in the country with one.
