The largest producers of natural gas in the Ukraine are Naftogaz of Ukraine, Naftogazvydobuvannia and Burisma. Naftogaz of Ukraine was the largest producer of natural gas in 2023 with output down by 8% on 2022.

Naftogazvydobuvannia was the second-largest producer, with output down by 7%, and Burisma was third with an increase of 5% on the previous year.

There are 182 natural gas producing fields in the Ukraine of which one are located offshore and the rest onshore. The Poltava Oblast has the majority of the natural gas fields in the country with 50.
