Abura is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Nigeria and is operated by Nigerian Petroleum Development. The field is located in block OML 65 (OPL 298).

Production from Abura

The Abura conventional oil field recovered 97.62% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 1980. The peak production was approximately 8.99 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2027.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 1.67 Mmboe, comprised of 1.31 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 2.16 bcf of natural gas reserves.
