Agu is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Nigeria and is operated by Sterling Exploration and Energy Production. The field is located in block OML 146 (OPL 277).

Production from Agu

The Agu conventional oil field recovered 12.80% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2021. The peak production was approximately 44.69 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2079. The field currently accounts for approximately 2% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 217.28 Mmboe, comprised of 217.28 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate. Agu conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.05% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
