Block 57 is a producing conventional gas field located onshore Peru and is operated by Repsol Exploracion Peru. The field is located in block Block 57.

The field is owned by China National Petroleum and Repsol.


Production from Block 57

The Block 57 conventional gas field recovered 28.75% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2022. The peak production was approximately 195 Mmcfd of natural gas and 10.84 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2049. The field currently accounts for approximately 12% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 236.46 Mmboe, comprised of 1,038.06 bcf of natural gas reserves and 63.45 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves. Block 57 conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.08% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
