Brasse Conventional Oil Field, Norway

Brasse is a conventional oil development located in shallow water in Norway and is operated by DNO Norge. Discovered in 2016, Brasse lies in block 31/7P (PL 740) and 30/9P (PL 740), with water depth of around 407 feet.

The project is currently in feed stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2024. Final investment decision (FID) of the project will be approved in 2022. The development cost is expected to be $550 m. The Brasse conventional oil development will involve the drilling of approximately five wells and includes subsea tree.

The field is owned by Eni, DNO and HitecVision.


Production from Brasse

Production from the Brasse conventional oil development project is expected to begin in 2024 and is forecast to peak in 2025, to approximately 25,885 bpd of crude oil and condensate and 31 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2045.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 44.61 Mmboe, comprised of 37.11 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 44.96 bcf of natural gas reserves.
