Cheleken Contract Area is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in Turkmenistan and is operated by Dragon Oil (Turkmenistan). The field is located in block Block II, with water depth of 95 feet.

Production from Cheleken Contract Area

The Cheleken Contract Area conventional oil field recovered 43.85% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2015. The peak production was approximately 92.65 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2069. The field currently accounts for approximately 7% of the country’s daily output.

The field is expected to recover 539.18 Mmboe, comprised of 539.18 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate. Cheleken Contract Area conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.12% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
