Fairley is a producing conventional gas field located in shallow water in Brunei and is operated by Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn. The field is located in block BSP 1 & 2 Offshore Agreement Area, with water depth of 220 feet.

Production from Fairley

The Fairley conventional gas field recovered 87.55% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2002. The peak production was approximately 18 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 124 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2035. The field currently accounts for approximately 3% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 43.39 Mmboe, comprised of 8.29 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 210.57 bcf of natural gas reserves. Fairley conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
