Greater MLN Fields Conventional Oil Field, Algeria

Greater MLN Fields is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Algeria and is operated by PT Pertamina Internasional Eksplorasi dan Produksi. The field is located in block Menzel Ledjmat (Block 405a).

An expansion project is associated with the Greater MLN Fields, namely Menzel Ledjmet Phase 4. This project is currently in the commissioning stage, expected to start in 2021.

The field is owned by Repsol and PT Pertamina (Persero).


Production from Greater MLN Fields

The Greater MLN Fields conventional oil field recovered 51.00% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2022. The peak production will approximately 29.1 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2040. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 98.42 Mmboe, comprised of 98.42 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate. Greater MLN Fields conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.02% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
