Johanna Este is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Ecuador and is operated by Andes Petroleum Ecuador. The field is located in block Block 62 (Tarapoa).

The Johanna Este conventional oil field recovered 14.93% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2018. The peak production was approximately 10.94 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 2 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2074. The field currently accounts for approximately 2% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 63.61 Mmboe, comprised of 61.93 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 10.09 bcf of natural gas reserves. Johanna Este conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
