Kurdamir is a conventional gas development located onshore Iraq and is operated by Western Zagros. Discovered in 2009, Kurdamir lies in block Kurdamir.

The project is currently in approval stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2027. The Kurdamir conventional gas development will involve the drilling of approximately three wells.

The field is owned by Crest Energy International and Kurdistan Regional Government.


Production from Kurdamir

Production from the Kurdamir conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2027 and is forecast to peak in 2031, to approximately 14,000 bpd of crude oil and condensate and 176 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2054.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 227.42 Mmboe, comprised of 72.28 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 930.88 bcf of natural gas reserves.
