Larut is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in Malaysia and is operated by ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia. The field is located in block PM 5, with water depth of 180 feet.

Production from Larut

The Larut conventional oil field recovered 83.98% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2002. The peak production was approximately 26.4 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 31 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2035.

The field is expected to recover 16.4 Mmboe, comprised of 13.56 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 17.05 bcf of natural gas reserves.
