Manatee is a conventional gas development located in shallow water in Trinidad and Tobago and is operated by Shell Trinidad and Tobago. Discovered in 2005, Manatee lies in block Block 6 (d) (ECMA), with water depth of around 299 feet.

The project is currently in feasibility stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2025. The development cost is expected to be $1,800 m.

Production from Manatee

Production from the Manatee conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2025 and is forecast to peak in 2028, to approximately 87 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2038.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 47.9 Mmboe, comprised of 287.41 bcf of natural gas reserves.
