Maromba Phase 3 Heavy Oil Field, Brazil

Maromba Phase 3 is a heavy oil development located in shallow water in Brazil and is operated by BW Energy Maromba do Brasil. Maromba Phase 3 lies in block BC-20 (Maromba), with water depth of around 538 feet.

The project is currently in feasibility stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2028.

Production from Maromba Phase 3

Production from the Maromba Phase 3 heavy oil development project is expected to begin in 2028 and is forecast to peak in 2029, to approximately 20,658 bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2054.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 61.72 Mmboe, comprised of 61.72 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate.
