Production from Merakes
The Merakes conventional gas field recovered 2.85% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2024. The peak production will approximately 3.13 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 391 Mmcfd of liquid natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2033. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 141.39 Mmboe, comprised of 6.52 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 809.2 bcf of liquid natural gas reserves. Merakes conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.05% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
